Nomination Policy Released - Herb Acosta 14 Apr 2008 The nomination policy is now released Nominations: Anybody can nominate, all submitions will be considered. The committee discusses the nominations and inducts the chosen on (Date not yet decided). Bands: One artist every Popomundo year. At least 50% of band must be of Toronto citizenship, or the bands main city is Toronto (This Must Be Evident!). Bands that have contributed to the city and have moved away may be inducted on the merits they have done before moving. Criteria: The overall package, the band has done well, has provided some record artwork (Not Necessary), has made themselves known, has proved themselves in the industry (Not necessarily being top ranked or popular). Individuals: One person every Popomundo year. Someone that has contributed to the city of Toronto or has some how help to shape the city in a positive way. Toronto citizenship will be favored. Criteria: Has donated at least two million dollars (Or something(s) equaling this amount). Has impacted Toronto in it's laws, health, public safety, or any other civic duty to warrant a Hall of Fame nomination. Back To News
